Professional football club Busan I-Park has bolstered its flanking attack through a trade with Seoul E-Land.
On the 14th, Busan IPark sent striker Park Jung-in to Seoul Eland and acquired flanker Kim Jung-hwan from Seoul Eland.
스포츠토토Born in 1997, Kim Jeong-hwan is a flanker with excellent dribbling and penetrating abilities and flashy footwork. He also stands out for his work rate and conscientious play.
After graduating from Baek Am-joong and Shingalgo, he joined FC Seoul in 2016 and made his professional debut. In 2018, he moved to Gwangju FC, where he was used consistently and blossomed, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 56 games over three years. At the time, Gwangju FC’s head coach was Park Jin-seop. Under Park’s leadership, he helped Gwangju win the K League 2 title in 2019 and earn promotion to the K League 1.
He moved to Eland in 2021, scoring three goals and one assist in 19 games that year and six goals and four assists in 37 games last year. This season, he has appeared in 12 games and has not scored. However, he will be reunited with Park in a Busan jersey and is expected to showcase his attacking prowess once again.
Kim will also be reunited with Lim Min-hyuk. The two are friends from the same age group who joined Seoul and teamed up with Gwangju in 2018.
“It’s a strange feeling to change teams so suddenly, but my teammates, manager, and coaches are helping me a lot,” said Kim. “I’m half worried and half excited, but I hope I can quickly integrate into the coach’s football and win a lot of matches and play fun football. I want to develop my skills further in Busan,” he said.
