Right-handed pitcher Josh Lindblom (36), who played in the KBO League and the Major League (MLB), announced his retirement and started a new life as a frontman for the Milwaukee Brewers in the big league.

According to the official social network service (SNS) of Reviewing the Brew, a media specializing in Milwaukee on the 28th (local time), Lindblom, who recently announced his retirement, will act as a front for the Milwaukee club in the future and will be in charge of guiding and nurturing young players.

Lindblom, who made his MLB debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2011, went 5-8 with an ERA of 3.82 in 110 games over four seasons until 2014 .스포츠토토

In 2015, he entered the KBO stage wearing a Lotte Giants uniform. He posted a decent record with 28 wins and 27 losses and an average ERA of 4.25 at Lotte.

After moving the team to Doosan Bears in 2018, he showed off his advanced skills. In 2019, he went 20-3 with an average ERA of 2.50 and won three gold medals in terms of wins, winning percentage, and strikeouts, then won the regular league MVP and Golden Gloves at the same time.

Based on his performance in Korea, Lindblom returned to the United States in 2020 with the Milwaukee Brewers for a three-year, $9.125 million (approximately 11.3 billion won) contract.

His re-challenge in the big leagues was not smooth. He went 2-4 with a 5.16 earned run average in 2020 and was removed from the 40-man roster in May 2021 and demoted to the minor leagues.

Lindblom was a consistent starter at Triple-A last season, hoping to re-enter the big leagues, but ultimately announced his retirement without getting a chance.

Lindblom accepted the club’s offer and turned into a front, and is in charge of nurturing young players who are the future of the team.
