스포츠토토Ronald Acuña Jr, 26, of the Atlanta Braves, is chasing the first record in Major League Baseball history with 20 home runs and 40 stolen bases in the first half of the season.

Atlanta hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers on 4 April (ET) at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.

Acuña Jr. started in right field for Atlanta and stole second base after being hit by a pitch to Gavin Williams in the top of the first inning for a 1-0 lead.

It was his 40th stolen base of the season in 84 games. This gave Aquino Jr. an incredible 20-homer, 40-steal performance in the first half alone.

Initially, the goal was to become the first player in major league history to hit 30 homers and steal 60 bases. However, he is now on pace to reach 40 homers and 70 doubles.

He’s looking every bit as good as his recent National League Most Valuable Player (MVP) nods, including dominating the National League Player of the Week and Player of the Month awards on four separate occasions.

It will be interesting to see if he can continue his torrid pace and become the first player in major league history to do so.
