Harry Kane is set to miss Tottenham’s final preseason trip to Barcelona.
‘바카라 Kane, who has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich, will not play in the Joan Gamper Tropeo (trophy) friendly against Barcelona,’ a series of reports said on Monday (Aug. 8). The friendly, in honor of Barcelona founder Joan Gamper, is scheduled for 3 a.m. on Sept. 9 at the Estadio Olimpico Luis Companís in Barcelona, Spain.

Kane has set himself a personal deadline to commit to Tottenham for the rest of the season if Bayern Munich do not agree to a transfer deal by Sept. 13, ahead of Spurs’ opening English Premier League (EPL) game against Brentford at 10 p.m. on Sept. 13. Kane did not board the plane to Barcelona on June 6, shortly after scoring four goals in 80 minutes in a preseason friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk in a 5-1 victory. Kane’s four-goal performance was followed by a desperate chant of “We want you to stay!” from Tottenham fans in the stadium.

The news of Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy’s rejection of Bayern Munich’s £86 million ($144.1 million) final offer on July 7 comes shortly after the club’s board of directors announced that they had made a second bid. The Bavarians are expected to make another offer.
Levy has been demanding £120 million for Kane, and given his contractual situation, it is expected to be around £100 million. However, Bayern Munich’s final offer of 73 million pounds ($123.3 billion) was widely considered to be insufficient compared to Kane’s value.

Kane wants to leave his beloved club Tottenham on a free transfer, but Levy is determined to hold on to the player, who has one year left on his contract. Spurs are hopeful that under new manager Ange Postecoglou, Kane will be able to sign a new contract with a buyout clause. Postecoglou has made no secret of his desire to keep Kane next season. “There is no doubt that we want to play Harry,” he said after the big win over Shakhtar. He is a fantastic striker, one of the best strikers in the world,” he admitted. “Our team’s play will help him a lot. He loves to score goals. We created a lot of chances today, and he benefited from that.”
