 Korean skeleton’s ‘new ace’ Jeong Seung-gi (24, Gangwon-do Office) ranked 7th in the last 8th competition of the 2022-2023 International Bobsleigh Skeleton Federation (IBSF) World Cup.

In the men’s skeleton event held in Sigulda, Latvia on the 17th (local time), Jeong Seung-gi recorded a total of 1 minute 41 seconds 38 in the first and second periods and placed 7th.

This was 0.99 seconds behind winner Matt Weston (1:40:39).

The silver medal went to Marcus Wyatt (1:40:75, Great Britain), and the bronze medal went to Christopher Grotier (1:41:02, Germany).

In the overall World Cup rankings, Grotier took first place with 1,656 points, while Weston (11,605 points) and Wyatt (1,531 points) ranked second and third, respectively.

Jeong Seung-gi was ranked 4th (1,478 points).

Jeong Seung-gi finished the 2022-2023 season with good results, such as winning 4 World Cups and winning a bronze meda먹튀검증l at the World Championships, making his first place in his career.

He won silver medals in the 1st, 2nd, and 7th World Cup competitions, and a bronze medal in the 3rd competition.

Kim Ji-soo showed a remarkable rise by placing his name in the top 10 six times in the World Cup.

The Korean skeleton team will return home via Incheon International Airport on the afternoon of the 19th.
