Vietnamese national team striker Van Toan leaves professional soccer K-League 2 Seoul E-Land and returns to his country.
Seoul E-Land announced on the 15th that Van Toan agreed to a transfer to Vietnam’s Nam Dinh FC and completed his association with the club.
스포츠토토Van Toan played for Vietnam’s Hoang Ain Gia Lai FC for eight years after making his professional debut in 2015. He garnered attention by playing for the U-23 national team and the A national team led by coach Park Hang-seo, winning the 2018 Suzuki Cup and the 2019 King’s Cup.
This season, he joined Seoul E-Land and performed well in 9 games, including vigorous activity, active pressure, and dribbling using his high speed.
After the recruitment of Ban Toan, the Mokdong Stadium was decorated with ‘Vietnam Day’ for the 13th round of Cheonanjeon as the number of Vietnamese fans living in Korea increased. Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Nguyen Vu Dung and about 1,000 Vietnamese fans visited the stadium to cheer on Seoul E-Land and Ban Thoan.
According to the E-Land club, interest in Ban Toan, who has recently played for the national team, has grown, and several Vietnamese clubs have actively expressed interest in recruiting him.
Accordingly, the E-Land club negotiated with Nam Dinh FC, which had continuously sent love calls, and completed the transfer process.
Bantoan said, “I was worried about my first transfer and going overseas, but I am grateful to the club, my teammates, and all members who took good care of me like family,” and added, “It’s sad to say goodbye, but I needed to make a big decision as a player.”
He then expressed his thoughts, saying, “I will never forget the Seoul E-Land fans who cheered me on by shouting ‘Kolen (fighting)’ and ‘Bantoan’. I will always remember Korea and Seoul E-Land.”
